Automotive 3-Phase Brushless Motor Pre-Driver with Sensor Reference Design based on ROHM Solution

This reference design is a solution board for a three-phase brass-less sensor-equipped motor pre-driver developed to control automotive air conditioner blower motors and battery cooling fan motors. In addition to the pre-driver, the NchMOS of the output stage and peripheral components for external input setting are integrated on a single board, and the motor can be controlled simply by connecting the power supply (12V typ.) By using noise suppression and S/R adjustment, this product has passed the CISPR 25 Class 5 EMC standard. This product can be used as a reference design for circuit and pattern design when creating PCBs. This reference design consists of two different boards, with a choice of different sized Nch MOSFETs packages.
