Secure MCUs

To protect against security threats, there is increasing demand from OEMs for secure MCUs. And when security features are implemented in the hardware from the outset, it reduces the time, complexity and resource pressure on developers and offers a more robust solution.

The MCU needs to provide a complete chain of security on the device with embedded keys and certificates that will verify firmware updates before they are installed. Trusted and standard zones within the hardware isolate secure functions and protect the data. Capabilities include secure boot process, built-in security hardware-based root of trust, true random number generation functionality, and user application code authentication.

Microchip

SAM4 32-bit MCUs

Based on the Arm® Cortex®-M4 core, Microchip's SAM 4 series of microcontrollers (MCUs) operates at a maximum CPU speed of 120 MHz and features up to 2048 KB of Flash and up to 128 KB of SRAM.

NXP

MCX N Series

The MCX N94x and MCX N54x are based on dual high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M33 cores running up to 150 MHz, with 2MB of Flash with optional full ECC RAM, a DSP co-processor and an integrated proprietary Neural Processing Unit (NPU).

NXP

LPC55S6x

The LPC55S6x MCU family is part of the EdgeVerse™ edge computing platform and builds on the world’s first general-purpose Cortex-M33 based microcontroller introduced with the LPC5500 series.
