Miromico

Miromico is an innovative high-tech company, focusing on design services in the areas of integrated circuits, electronic systems and software. It has many years of technology experience in the field of RF communication and in particular the Internet-of-Things (IoT). As an IoT hardware provider, Miromico  supplies its customers state-of-the-art LoRaWAN® communication modules as well as ready-to-use LPWAN sensors and gateways that are at the leading edge of technology. The LoRa® FMLR RF modules enable wireless connectivity to almost any low-datarate device, system or sensor over a distance of more than 50 km. Power consumption of FMLR-based sensor nodes can be optimized to the single digit microampere region, allowing them to run for years from a small battery. Learn more at miromico.com.

FMLR LoRa® and LoRaWAN® IoT modules enable wireless connectivity to devices, systems, and sensors communicating with high data rates or over a long distance. The 2.4 GHz modules support long-range Time-of-Flight (ToF ranging) distance-measurement. Power consumption can be optimized to run from a small-sized battery. The integrated ARM Cortex-M0+ or M4 32-bit micro-controller runs entire RF stacks and has sufficient resources available to run user applications. The system can easily be extended with low power sensors to build production-ready IoT sensor nodes. All FMLR modules are prepared for seamless integration into LoRaWAN networks. The modules are available with additional onboard flash memory to enable Over-the-Air (OTA) update and data storage. The FMLR family supports additional modulation schemes like the very efficient and robust high-bitrate and long-range FLRC and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). This enables communication with smartphones, tablets, gadgets, and more. Optional low-power high precision temperature compensated oscillators (TCXO) for both RTC and radio are optionally available. To support fast prototyping and development, the module’s firmware including the wireless stack can be updated via SWD, UART-Bootloader, or optional via OTA.

LoRa® Module Based on Renesas Synergy™ Platform

FMLR-61-x-RSS3 - LoRa® Module Based on Renesas Synergy™ Platform

The FMLR-61-x-RSS3 module employs the S3A6 MCU with integrated 48 MHz Arm® Cortex®- M4 core, and features 256 KB code flash memory, 8 KB data flash, and 32 KB SRAM, which is enough memory to allow engineers to develop their own applications. The S3A6 is part of a large Renesas Synergy MCU portfolio, making it easy to scale up to more functionality or scale down for cost optimization. The Renesas Synergy Platform features the Synergy Software Package (SSP), which comprises a large selection of production-grade software. This unique and powerful combination of hardware and software helps customers significantly accelerate their product development schedule. In order to debug your own code on the module, you can buy a FMLR Evaluation Kit and download the firmware from Gitlab.

The Renesas FMLR Development Board provided in the evaluation kit enables users to develop their own FMLR firmware on a ready to use, presoldered Renesas LoRa module. It additionally includes an optimized antenna for both EU868 and US915 frequencies. Compiled Hex files can be programmed using the on-board bootloader. For further development and debugging, a J-Link EDU mini is included in the kit. The source code can be downloaded from Gitlab and a detailed quickstart guide for the development board can be found on its portfolio

STM based LoRa® Module

Miromico's STM based LoRa® Module

The STM-based LoRa® FMLR-72-x-STL0z-(4M) modules feature a Semtech SX1272 radio chip to enable wireless communication over long distance. Power consumption is optimized to run from a small battery, while the integrated wake on radio (WoR) allows the system to operate in a duty-cycled manner. The optionally-integrated ARM Cortex-M0 32-bit microcontroller runs the entire RF stack and has sufficient resources available for the integration of additional applications. The system can easily be extended with additional low power sensors on the external carrier board to build out-of-the-box IoT sensor networks. In order to debug your own code on the module, you can buy a FMLR evaluation kit and download the firmware from Gitlab.
