Key factors

  • Mezzanine or daughterboard construction with durable connectors makes it easy to provide upgradeable or replaceable modules for futureproofing or legacy upgrades
  • Sacrificial elements can be replaced by using sockets for pluggable devices (sensors, fuses, relays etc.)
  • Rugged and reliable connections at remote locations or hard-to-reach equipment minimize downtime, lower the rate of maintenance requirements, and improve operational uptime.
  • Shield components within or near wireless IOT/IIOT nodes that would otherwise be affected by the wireless transmissions. Ensure that edge computing devices with EMI-sensitive components are shielded.
