Hands On MCU Development In this hands-on session, participants are introduced to Zephyr RTOS, the open-source, Linux Foundation-hosted RTOS that NXP has been a founding platinum member of from day one. Using the FRDM-MCXN947 board, attendees set up the complete Zephyr development environment through MCUXpresso for VS Code, installing the toolchain and Zephyr repository via the streamlined MCUXpresso installer. From there, participants import and build their first Zephyr blinky project, learn to navigate the Device Tree editor to configure GPIO pins and peripherals, and flash and debug firmware directly from VS Code, all without leaving a single IDE. |
| 11:30 - 12:00 | Hands On AI and MPU Development In this hands-on session, participants start by flashing a pre-built Linux image, including a full Chromium browser, onto the FRDM i.MX95 development board using the UUU flashing tool, getting a real taste of how the i.MX 95 supports production-ready Linux BSP workflows from day one. Once booted, the board comes to life on a HDMI display with a full Linux desktop environment, where attendees explore NXP's GoPoint demo launcher to experience the i.MX 95's key capabilities hands-on: AI/ML inference on the eIQ® Neutron NPU, 4K video decode via the VPU, GPU-accelerated graphics, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. |
|
| 12:00 - 13:00 | Lunch & Networking | |
| 13:00 - 13:45 | Hands On AI and MPU Development Continue exploring real world implementation techniques and development workflows. |
Designing for Security & CRA Compliance Understand security requirements and approaches to help meet Cyber Resilience Act expectations. |
