The STM32WB0 microcontroller series enables reliable wireless performance in a compact, energy-efficient design. Based on the Arm Cortex®-M0+ core running at 64 MHz, the series offers up to 512 Kbytes of flash memory and 64 Kbytes of RAM. Certified for Bluetooth® LE, the STM32WB0 offers best-in-class power consumption, ideal for cost- and energy-sensitive wireless applications.

STM32CubeWB0 - STM32Cube MCU Package for STM32WB0 series (HAL, Low-Layer APIs and CMSIS, File system, RTOS, BLE stack and examples running on ST boards)

STM32Cube is an STMicroelectronics original initiative to improve designer productivity significantly by reducing development effort, time, and cost. STM32Cube covers the whole STM32 portfolio.

STM32Cube includes STM32CubeMX, a graphical software configuration tool that allows the generation of C initialization code using graphical wizards.

It also comprises the STM32CubeWB0 MCU Package, composed of the STM32Cube hardware abstraction layer (HAL) and the low-layer (LL) APIs, a consistent set of middleware components such as STM32_BLE (Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.4), FreeRTOS™ kernel, and FatFS generic file system module.

X-NUCLEO-WB05KN1 - X-NUCLEO-WB05KN1 expansion board for STM32 Nucleo based on STM32WB05KN

The X-NUCLEO-WB05KN1 expansion board provides Bluetooth® Low Energy connectivity for developer applications and can be plugged into an STM32 Nucleo development board (for example NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q) through its ARDUINO® Uno V3 connectors.

The expansion board features Bluetooth® v5.4 compliant and FCC‑certified STM32WB05KN. This SoC manages the complete Bluetooth® Low Energy stack and protocols on its Arm® Cortex®‑M0+ core and programmable flash memory. STM32WB05KN supports central and peripheral modes and increased transfer rates with data length extension (DLE).
