Bourns Riedon™ BRF series high precision power foil resistors

Bourns is pleased to announce the introduction of the Riedon™ BRF series high precision power foil resistor by Bourns. This series is engineered for power applications that demand both high accuracy and high energy dissipation, offering power ratings up to 2.5kW along with tight resistance tolerances and low temperature coefficients (TCR) for stable, repeatable performance.

The BRF Series utilizes metal foil technology in a low profile aluminum heat sink package, delivering excellent thermal management, low inductance, and minimal resistance drift under load. These attributes make the series ideal for precise current measurement and energy control in high power systems.

Typical applications include power converters, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), industrial power supplies, inverters, and motor drives, where designers require a rugged, dependable resistor capable of dissipating substantial energy while maintaining precision.
