These days primary battery technologies are becoming more and more important. Especially Lithium batteries which provide high voltage, low self-discharge and a proven reliability powering many sophisticated applications. In particular the chemistries BR and CR battery technologies are leading the industries. Panasonic offers a huge number of Lithium coin (rechargeable and non-rechargeable) and cylindrical batteries (non-rechargeable). Recommended applications are for instance smart meter, medical applications, security devices etc.
Besides Lithium batteries Panasonic Alkaline batteries are a perfect standard solution for applications which do not require high voltages but still demand extraordinary performance. Panasonic Alkaline batteries are made to power high-performance standard applications and our factories have decades of mass production experience. Panasonic Energy - Secondary batteries
Excellent safety and superior battery performance: this is what Panasonic stands for. The Ni-MH battery technology is now the Ni-Cd (Nickel-Cadmium) successor technology for rechargeable and portable devices. These batteries are ideal for less complex and cost-sensitive applications and meet most standard customer needs. They are suitable for nearly every application, offer high quality and reliability and provide excellent discharge characteristics. Good balance in terms of capacity and lifetime complete the characteristics of our Ni-MH batteries. Recommended applications are for instance medical equipment, solar window shutter, elevator etc.
Panasonic Lithium rechargeable coin batteries are designed mainly for memory back-up applications. Their voltage ranges from 1.5V to 3V, their self-discharge is extremely low and Panasonic has years of experience in production. These batteries are typically designed in applications such as computers, watches, remote keyless entry (RKE) etc.
