AMD Adaptive SoCs and Embedded x86 in Crewed and Uncrewed Aviation Applications
01 Oct 2026 - 01 Oct 2026
online
Advanced airborne platforms are rapidly adopting artificial intelligence, vision systems, autonomous operation, and heterogeneous compute to meet a wide range of performance and efficiency. Additionally, various avionics applications must meet the demands of safety and show compliance to DO-254, DO-178, A(M)C 20-152A, and A(M)C 20-193. AMD’s portfolio of Adaptive SoCs and Embedded x86 offer a spectrum of capabilities from programmable logic to embedded processing, AI acceleration, high-speed connectivity and isolation capabilities across various flexible heterogeneous architectures that enable these demanding workloads while supporting the reliability requirements of aerospace applications.
This webinar provides an update on the AMD Adaptive SoC and Embedded x86 roadmap for aviation and aerospace markets, including the latest developments in the Versal™ portfolio of Adaptive SoCs and Ryzen AI Embedded x86, and their application in next-generation avionics, mission computing, and autonomous systems. The session will also review AMD's progress in supporting airborne certification with Versal, and the ecosystem of tools and partners that help customers address DO-254 and DO-178 certification requirements. Attendees will gain insight into how Versal adaptive SoCs can be deployed in safety-critical airborne systems while supporting the rigorous certification, reliability, and lifecycle expectations of aviation programs.
In addition, attendees will learn how AMD’s devices are enabling advanced vision-processing applications for uncrewed aerial vehicles, including image analysis, object detection, sensor fusion, and autonomous navigation. Practical examples will demonstrate how heterogeneous computing can accelerate vision workloads while preserving the flexibility needed to adapt to evolving mission requirements.
