RZ/N2H - Advanced MPU Delivers High-Performance Application Processing and Real-Time Operation with Industrial Ethernet
The Renesas RZ/N2H is a high performance MPU designed for industrial automation applications requiring deterministic real time operation, advanced networking, and application processing. Combining quad Arm® Cortex®-A55 CPU cores running at up to 1200MHz with dual Arm Cortex-R52 cores operating at up to 1000MHz, the device delivers the processing capability needed for programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motion controllers, industrial robots, and other industrial control systems.
The RZ/N2H integrates sophisticated networking functionality supporting both controller and device industrial Ethernet communication. With Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) support and compatibility with industry-standard protocols including EtherCAT®, EtherNet/IP™, and PROFINET® RT/IRT, it enables reliable real time communication across modern industrial networks. A 3-port Gigabit Ethernet switch and three Ethernet GMACs allow multiple networks to operate simultaneously.
Designed to support application-rich operating systems such as Linux, the RZ/N2H features a high bandwidth LPDDR4 memory interface, SD/eMMC support for non-volatile storage, PCIe Gen3 connectivity, dual xSPI channels, and a range of high speed interfaces. Multi-axis motor control can be implemented using a single device, helping reduce BOM complexity, power consumption, and board size.
