USB BoB 1 Port UPD based on Microchip Solution
This design contemplates the wired networking and power stages for a 1-port USB media hub breakout board. The power segment features the UPD350 small form factor USB Type C/PD controller which provides cable detection, orientation, and implementation communication to the USB type C device. The controller then communicates to a USB7002 smart hub featuring USB3.1 Gen 1 controller with 4 downstream ports to support user interaction coming from CarPlay, CarLife, and Android Auto infotainment devices.
