In line with our commitment to provide products with innovative designs, superior quality and exceptional value, Bourns announces the release of the Riedon™ SSD-1000A series digital current sensor by Bourns.

The SSD-1000A series includes innovatively designed digital DC shunt based current sensors that offer superior accuracy, stability, and electrical isolation in certain harsh industrial environments.

This new product series is well suited for a wide variety of battery related current sensing applications including large scale energy storage banks, renewable energy generation infrastructure, industrial motor drives, building automation systems and EV charging stations.

• 24‑bit isolated shunt current sensor with CANbus or RS‑485/MODBUS interface
• Current ranges:
  • 100A (2 kA peak)
  • 250A (5 kA peak)
  • 500A (10 kA peak)
  • 1000A (20 kA peak)
• 1500VDC reinforced galvanic isolation
• ±0.1% tolerance
• 16‑bit microcontroller rated up to +150°C
• 24‑bit ADC with buffered analog inputs
• ECC flash memory with auto‑correction for single‑bit errors
• Internal and external CRC data error detection
• Advanced non‑linear temperature compensation
• RoHS compliant*
