Avnet Abacus wins TDK European Distribution Gold Award for second consecutive year
Distributor scores close to perfection to win European award for its performance across four categories
Brussels, Belgium, 4th July, 2019: Avnet Abacus, one of Europe’s leading interconnect, passive, electro-mechanical and power distributors and a regional business unit of Avnet (Nasdaq: AVT), today announced it has won TDK’s European Distribution Gold Award in the international volume distribution category. This marks the second year in a row that Avnet Abacus has been recognised by TDK, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of electronic components, modules, systems and devices.
‘Senten Manten’ is a Japanese term that means “the perfect result or full marks”. TDK uses the Senten Manten system to assess distributors on their levels of performance and collaboration with the manufacturer across four categories: business performance; inventory management; contractual terms; and operational excellence. A maximum of 1000 points are available under the system, and across the four categories, this year Avnet Abacus was awarded the top score of 885 points in the international volume distributor category – an even higher score than in the previous year, which demonstrates continued improvement of the distributor’s already high level of performance.
