Our connectors are available in a variety of micro pitches, allowing engineers to select solutions that meet their needs in terms of board real estate and weight - both common considerations in remote or mobile agriculture systems.

Certain products - like our TFM/SFM – are subject to Severe Environment Testing: a Samtec initiative to test beyond typical industry standards and specifications used for Automotive and Military products. These connectors are ideal choices for harsh environment applications or industries like vertical farming, where humidity and temperature set requirements for components capable of providing superior reliability in tough conditions. 

Many agricultural systems rely on data from cameras, sensors and other IOT devices with specifications that Samtec’s high-speed board to board or cable to board solutions can comfortably support – for example our high density LSHM is rated at 14gbps per contact with up to 100 I/Os.

Samtec understand customers in this industry often have unique requirements. Our product line is highly customisable as standard, allowing customers to select rugged features like alignment pins, polarisation or latching. We are also happy to offer Application Specific Products to support customers who need adjustments to catalogue standard product and even those with bespoke interconnect requirements.
