Yageo metal current sensor shunt resistor
Yageo Corporation, the global passive component leader, recently launched the new 2512 size metal current sensor – the shunt resistor PU series

Yageo Corporation, the global passive component leader, recently launched the new 2512 size metal current sensor – the shunt resistor PU series. It is a perfect solution for applications where high precision and high power current sensing components are required. The company is devoted to product and technology innovation, and this new product development and launch demonstrates Yageo’s leading R&D capabilities, and the commitment to meeting customer’s requirements.
E-beam welding process is introduced to combine the central metal alloy and Copper (Cu) together at the terminations. The central open-air design is the key to achieving excellent heat dissipation.
Because of the special material selection and product structure, the power rating of PU series is higher than that of metal alloy current sensors of the same case size. The PU2512 features resistance from 0.3mΩ to 3mΩ, with high power (6W), high precision (1%), a low temperature coefficient of resistance
(TCR 75ppm/°C), low thermal EMF, excellent heat dissipation and a capability to sense minimal current.
The PU2512 is AEC-Q200 qualified, which meets automotive customer’s requirements. The PU2512 shunt resistor metal current sensor is mainly used for battery management systems, quick charger, server, power supply etc., in applications such as automotive, industrial, computer, or home appliances. The Yageo PU series offers high performance, a wide range of sizes (2512, 3921, 5931), versatility and fully meets the requirements of customers in different applications.
Yageo will continue to innovate and devote resources to advanced product development, in order to provide customers with quality products and services.
