TE Connectivity Ultra-small spring fingers contacts
TE Connectivity announces Ultra-small spring fingers contacts
Spring fingers (also known as shield fingers, grounding springs, universal ground contacts or antenna clips) can be used in all types of small printed circuit board (PCB) applications across multiple industries. A spring finger is a single contact, surface mountable internal connector with multiple functions on a PCB. Spring fingers can be used for antenna feeds, low voltage electrical connections, and grounding or shielding. They are beneficial in minimizing EMI noise and static caused by speakers, motors, microphones or a variety of other types of connectors that can cause vibration within an application. TE Connectivtiy (TE) has a wide variety of spring fingers with industry leading specifications to address your needs.
Features
- Product footprint of 1.7mm2
- The close-loop contact design can ensure reliable connection to the PCB, better normal force (0.7Nmin) and higher current capacity (1.5A)
- A special anti-lifting design that can improve assembly efficiency by locking the tip of the contact within the sidewall of the spring finger, which helps prevent the contact from catching during installation
- Pick-and-place area support auto-assembly processe
- Space savings
- Superior performance
- Improved assembly efficiency and ease of installation
- Resistance to over compression
- Wide portfolio of height and style options to fit a variety of applications
