TE Connectivity T9A series relay
TE Connectivity announces T9A series relay
- Low-insertion force (LIF) terminals
- Easy press and lead-in mating
- Designed for error-resistant assembly
TE Connectivity (TE)’s new T9A relay receptacle housings were developed to provide a more ergonomic assembly process for HVAC and appliance manufacturers using T9A relays to control electric heating elements. The housings are designed with low mating forces, large push surfaces, and error-minimizing connection features. To achieve lower assembly forces, the housings accept low insertion force (LIF) Standard FASTON receptacles and have a zero-insertion force “drop-in” housing cavity. To provide ergonomic and error-minimizing assembly, receptacles are secured in place with integrated terminal position assurance (TPA) devices and feature tactile mating confirmation to help prevent partial connections.
Features
- Lower mating forces
- The new housing features a zero insertion force “drop-in” cavity and accepts low insertion force (LIF) Standard FASTON terminals
- Easy press and lead-in features
- Hinged lid terminal position assurance (TPA) devices provide large, smooth push surfaces that allow for easy straight palm push assembly, while lead-in mating features support angled mating without contact stubbing
- Poka-yoke features
- Tactile mating confirmation helps ensure the terminal is fully engaged with the mated tab, TPA devices help prevent terminal backout, and color coded housings help prevent mis-mated
Applications
- HVAC
- Cooking equipment
- Washer and dryer
- Dishwasher
