TE Connectivity’s (TE) small form-factor pluggable double density (SFP-DD) products for I/O interconnect include cages, surface mount connectors and cable assemblies. This product portfolio was developed in accordance with the SFP-DD Multi-Aource Agreement (MSA) specification. SFP-DD is one of the smallest industry standard small form-factors today which enables data centre systems to operate at doubled port density with faster data transfer rates. The SFP-DD connectors and cages are also mechanically interoperable with module components produced by different manufacturers. They can free up more space in application as compared to QSFP28/QSFP56 solution.

  • 2-lane interconnect with higher density and better signal integrity than SFP28/56 - concept leverages QSFP-DD surface mount technology (SMT) design. Compared to SFP28/SFP56 solutions, SFP-DD cages and connectors provide double the density and double the speed, reaching up to 112Gbps via two channels
  • Backward-compatible
  • Space savings: frees up more space of PCB and faceplate as compared to QSFP28/QSFP56 solution. One port with upgraded functions: extends to two channels 28G NRZ and 56G PAM-4
  • Industry-leading thermal management: offers superior thermal management with TE’s innovative thermal bridge technology
  • Offers design flexibility with customized solutions
