TE Connectivity announces SAS/PCIe Gen 4 connectors
TE Connectivity (TE) has released a Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) cable that enables the transmission of data by ethernet using one twisted pair. This product is currently capable of transmission rates ranging from 100 MB/s to 1 GB/s. These cables are available in both 24 and 26 AWG, with a temperature range of -65°C up to +150°C for your commercial aerospace applications.

- Enhanced data performance supports PCIe Gen 4(16 GT/s), SAS 4.0 (24 Gbps) and tri-mode storage
- Interfaces are backward compatible to address SFF-8639 and are compatible to SFF-8630, SFF-8680 and SFF-8432 interfaces; backward compatible to 12G, 6G and 3G SAS and SATA connectors
- No need for board design changes whenusing drives with different protocols
- Easy implementation of high speed SSDs,HDDs and PCIe products
- No board design change is required whenupgrading from Gen 3 to Gen 4
- Help prevent misalignment with self-alignment feature that supports blind-mating
