TE Connectivity Nano SIM card connectors
TE Connectivity announces Nano SIM card connectors
TE Connectivity`s (TE) new line of nano SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card connectors from TE expands the existing portfolio of SIM card connectors to include the compact 4FF form factor. Many modern smartphones now use nano SIM cards and demand for this card style has increased across the electronics industry, including the commercial and industrial IoT (Internet of Things) space.
As the Internet of Things (IoT) market space continues to grow and consumer electronics applications continue to focus on mobility, the need for cellular connections to the internet continues to increase. A SIM card connector is required whenever the wireless connection needs to be made through a cellular network system. As electronic devices become smaller and our world becomes increasingly mobile, the demand for compact SIM cards is on the rise. Nano SIM cards provide a smaller form factor that allows more space for internal components. With the new nano SIM card connector line, TE is ready to meet the increased demand for SIM card connectors as the electronics market continues to mature.
