TE Connectivity announces MATEnet modular and scalable miniaturized ethernet connector system
MATEnet connector system is TE Connectivity’s (TE) modular and scalable miniaturized Ethernet connector system, developed for the latest generation of vehicle architectures. Based on our proven NanoMQS terminals system, designed to meet automotive specifications, the MATEnet connector system offers automotive grade robustness, ensuring reliable performance in the harsh transportation environments. With both Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) and Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) cables available, the MATEnet connector system provides varying levels of protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI).
The MATEnet connector system can transmit up to 1Gbps according to the 100BASE-T1 and 1000BASE-T1 (automotive ethernet protocols), enable higher data-rates as well as reduction in cabling weight and costs. Featuring a standardized core module that can be easily assembled into housing frames with 1 to 6 ports, including a double-row option, this modular design provides flexibility to meet diverse application needs and installation environments.
