TE Connectivity's has launched M12 X-code field installable cable plug
With TE Connectivity’s latest M12 X-code Field Installable Connector, Installers and Machinery makers can make a Cat6A connection termination error free and tool-less, faster than alternative standard data connector solutions.
With only two parts the latest TE Connectivity’s M12 X-code FI Connector is easy to install in the field without the chance of dropping parts into places where they can not be recovered from. The cable leads can be stripped at arbitrary length (so no measuring upfront required) and will be terminated for optimal performance by the TE patented lever technology combined with the automatic wire cut off function integrated in the connector. This unique standardized tool-less connector series enables you to reduce assembly time to the cable and cable braid.
With the final closing of the connector, an error free 10 Gb/s connection (Cat6A) with IP67 (optionally IP68) environmental shielding is realized without the usage of any tools.
