BICAP (Bio Innovation Cap) is another product developed within the BIOFUSE tubing portfolio, focused on Bio-Based polymer material. The BICAP is a bio-alternative to the black ES-Cap line. Delivering identical level of functionalities and performance with the benefit of reducing environmental impact.

BICAP has been engineered to offer excellent strain relief, electrical insulation, environmental sealing, high flame retardancy and a high shrink ratio capability.

The cap profile allows the product to seal and protect end splices where impact from vehicle applications can be evident, requiring greater protection against exposed stub splices and end of wire terminations.

BICAP will continue to provide excellent sealing capabilities, remaining with the same hot melt adhesive that flows in and around the end wire and splice configurations, to prevent moisture and fluids entering the cap during application, causing potential corrosion and mechanical damage.

Furthermore, BICAP continues to provide excellent strain relief, and protection against rigorous impact to the wire and splice configurations, requiring the highest-level of insulation and protection, ultimately allowing BICAP to operate to the specified performance for the specified in application lifetime.

Excellent flame retardancy remains a key feature of BICAP, protecting against high temperature conditions therefore extending the life and performance of the product.
