Panasonic ERJH series resistor
Panasonic announces ERJH series resistor
High quality chip resistors meeting the requirements of next-gen. product designs are essential. For this very reason, Panasonic Industry has introduced its thick-film ERJH series of high temperature resistors.
Conventional resistors in the market are currently covering a temperature range of up to +155°C. This is sufficient for many applications in the automotive, industrial or building automation sector. However, there is a clear trend towards a higher temperature tolerance – especially in the field of automotive engineering the demand is significantly increasing. Panasonic Industry’s ERJH series has undergone various optimization efforts regarding material and manufacturing procedures in order to reliably withstand higher temperatures.
The new ERJH thick film resistors series uniquely qualifies for particularly high power applications. The derating in these resistors starts from +105°C compared to +70°C in conventional resistors. This means, that the resistor unfolds its full power up to +105°C before the power starts to derate – reaching its minimum only at an unrivalled +175°C.
This is not only remarkable in terms of sheer heat tolerance but also clearly serves the trend for downsizing the circuit board: instead of resorting to larger resistors to counter the derating effects, the high-temp ERJH series is proven to guarantee 100% power at up to +105°C while saving precious PCB space.
The ERJH series is now available as standard, high precision, low resistance, and anti-surge resistors, covering a wide resistance value range from 1Ω to 300KΩ.
As relevant automotive component it comes RoHS, REACH and AEC-Q200 certified– and renders the ideal choice for engine ECUs, DC-DC inverters, converters, lighting applications, HEV electronics and also many other automotive and non-automotive innovations.
