OMRON B5W-LB series light convergent reflective sensor
OMRON has introduced B5W-LB series light convergent reflective sensor
OMRON’s B5W-LB series of light convergent reflective type sensors are unaffected by backgrounds, meaning the intended object is sensed accurately. Before, sensing of shiny, black, or transparent objects could be unstable or unreliable – requiring more person-hours for development and production processes. However, OMRON’s light convergent reflective sensors offer reliable detection of shiny, black, or transparent objects; thereby reducing person-hours. A wide sensing range allows for object shifting, giving the B5W-LB series robustness of distance. The B5W-LB series are also suitable for embedding in commercial equipment. Analog voltage output and digital output models are available. Furthermore, the digital output types offer an IP50 rating for environmental resistance, including resistance to heavy dust. Lastly, the B5W-LB series connect easily – an ON/OFF output enables direct connections to control equipment such as PLCs.
