The versatile 1.80mm-pitch ConnTAK50 connector system employs the Arbeitskreis (AK) interface and will offer both single-row and dual-row versions, and two configurations in a small package to support design flexibility and space-constraints.

Features

  • Designers face space constraints as they attempt to fit additional electronics within the same real estate: ConnTAK50 connector’s 1.80mm pitch and smaller package size make it easier to design-in new capabilities, potentially decreasing engineering costs and speeding up time to market.
  • Engineers often settle for large connector systems when they need many circuits to satisfy current-rating requirements: The ConnTAK50 system delivers as many as 22 circuits and a 6.0A current rating within a package even smaller than the Mini50 connector.
  • Unionized automaker plants require an exceptionally low mate force for connectors: ConnTAK50 connectors’ low mating force meets stringent plant requirements. Automotive assemblers will find it easier to mate connectors, which may lower labor costs and speed up assembly time.
  • Meets LV 214, GMW 3191 and USCAR specifications: ConnTAK50 connectors were specifically designed to meet the requirements of European, Chinese and U.S. automotive markets.

Additional features

  • Patented CPA release mechanism
  • TAK50 terminal has a 2-piece beam design
  • Wire dress cover available
  • Dual-row receptacles feature both a side latch and connector position assurance (CPA) mechanism
  • Right-angle and vertical headers available
  • 4 polarization and color-keying options

Applications

Automotive:

  • Battery Management Systems (BMS)
  • Bluetooth
  • Camera modules
  • HVAC
  • In-vehicle switches
  • Lighting
  • Seat/Mirror control
