ZK1 High Heat and Vibration Resistance FPC-to-Board Connector
HIROSE Electric Co. Ltd, a world-class manufacturer of connectors, has introduced the ZK1 series of FPC-to-Board connectors suitable for automotive applications.
The ZK1 series is suitable and reliable in harsh environments due to the innovative design and the materials used. Withstanding temperature ranges of up to 125 °C; which satisfies severe automotive requirements that allow the connector to be placed near engine compartments. With a robust center locking strength of over 100 N, the connector will remain securely mated even under intense vibration, preventing accidental disconnection and increasing the connectors’ performance stability.
The series also incorporates electric shock prevention measures with IP2X-equivalent protection and a two-point contact structure enhances dust resistance and ensures consistent electrical reliability.
Its simplified, terminal-less plug design enables fast and efficient harness assembly, contributing to significant space and weight savings compared to traditional discrete wire solutions. The plug structure only includes the FPC, housing and retainer, offering an innovative and compact approach to FPC connections.
Designed with a FPC pattern pitch of 2mm and a PCB pattern pitch of 1mm, combined with its two-piece FPC-to-Board design, this connector contributes to a minimized size and weight of the end product.
