PQ50W Series Power Supply Connector

PQ50W panel-mount receptacles offer robust construction, easy assembly, protected crimp contacts, and reliable 2-point female contacts for industrial use

The PQ50W series is designed to be reliable in demanding industrial environments due to its robust construction and user-friendly assembly features. The panel-mount receptacle incorporates an innovative housing structure that allows the outer shell to be detached from inner housing structure that allows the outer shell to be detached from the inner housing for easy termination of contacts. The protective wall on the crimp contacts prevents deformation of the contact and snare, while the female contact design features a 2-point contact structure to ensure stable and reliable electrical performance.

PQ50W plug connectors also utilize crimp contacts with a protective wall to maintain contact integrity during handling and assembly. In addition, contacts of different lengths can be installed to support sequential mating, allowing signal or ground to engage before power. The male and female inner housing blocks are interchangeable between the plug and receptacle shells, providing increased design flexibility for various equipment layouts.

To meet environmental sealing requirements, PQ50W achieves IP65 water resistance in the mated condition. This is made possible by tightening the metal cable clamp over the gasket to create a secure seal, which also enhances cable clamp strength. The secure lock structure employs two lock levers that operate simultaneously to prevent incomplete locking and to ensure smooth and reliable mating and un-mating operations.

The grounding system of the PQ50W series uses an independent ground contact that connects directly to the connector cover shell, providing robust and stable grounding performance. A key-coding system is also available to enable multiple key variations and prevent incorrect insertion when using several connectors in the sample application.
