Bourns MF-GSMF series high power rating resettable fuses
The Bourns Multifuse Product Line is pleased to announce the introduction of its new 3425 (8764 metric) size surface mount MF-GSMF Series of Multifuse® Polymer PTC Resettable Fuses
The Bourns Multifuse Product Line is pleased to announce the introduction of its new 3425 (8764 metric) size surface mount MF-GSMF Series of Multifuse® Polymer PTC Resettable Fuses, beginning with model MF-GSMF300/36X-2. The initial model has higher voltage (36 VDC) and hold current (3.0 A) ratings with initial resistance as low as 0.01 ohm.
The new Bourns® MF-GSMF series utilizes Bourns’ innovative freeXpansion™ design, increasing the performance of the resettable fuse with:
- Higher hold currents (Ihold)
- Higher voltages (Vmax)
- Improved resistance stability
- Smaller footprints
The primary applications for these products include telematics with CAN, wireless headphone power protection, WLAN, GPS and UMTS/LTE, industrial controls, IEEE ports and portable consumer electronic I/O port protection. These devices have been designed to protect against both overcurrent and overtemperature events within the products’ designated specifications.
The new Bourns® Multifuse® MF-GSMF Series is RoHS* compliant, halogen free** and cUL/ TÜV recognized for safety requirements, and is produced in Bourns’ IATF16949 certified facility in Xiamen, China. While the first model being released is MF-GSMF300/36X-2, additional current and voltage ratings can be available upon request.
