Bourns announces GDT21 series chip-size surface mount 2-Electrode GDT SPDs

Bourns is pleased to announce the release of the new model GDT21 series 1206 chip-size surface mount 2-electrode GDT surge protective devices. These devices deliver maximum impulse voltage limiting specifications in an ultra-compact surface mount package, making them ideal for space-sensitive applications.

The Bourns® model GDT21 series provides superior protection against induced voltage transients such as lightning and AC induction. The advanced design ensures a higher level of protection by offering tighter voltage limiting during fast-rising events, which minimizes stress on downstream components, even in spaceconstrained applications.

Additionally, these robust devices are capable of safely diverting 500A pulses in a compact EIA 1206 package without sustaining damage. The new series is RoHS compliant* and UL recognized.
