Bourns has introduced CMP/CMP-A series thick film chip resistors
The Model CMP anti-surge thick film resistor series is available in five different footprints from small 0603 (1608 metric) up to 2512 (6431 metric). This product series has a wide resistance range from 10ohms to 1megohm, high rated power up to 1.5W and superior pulse load capability.
The CMP series is the enhanced performance version of the Bourns® Model CRM series. This series offers a higher power rating, higher working voltage, and higher pulse power handling compared to the CRM series. The Model CMP series also includes the 0603 footprint for customers with space constraints in their design.
These resistors are made using a thick film element printed onto a ceramic substrate and are suitable for use in consumer electronics, industrial automation, power supplies, LED lighting applications and communication base stations.
The Model CMP-A series is AEC-Q200 compliant. This series is sulphur-resistant, an attribute increasing in demand for customers using thick film technology products in a challenging environment. Similar to the standard consumer grade CMP series, the Model CMP-A series offers enhanced performance compared to the CRM-A series.
