Bourns CHP-A series ultra-high power chip resistors

Bourns® CHP-A series ultra-high power resistor AEC-Q200 compliant - sulfur-resistant

Bourns CHP-A Chip series sulfur-resistant ultra-high power resistor

Bourns has introduced its sulfur-resistant, AEC-Q200 compliant ultra-high power thick film chip resistors. This surface mount series helps strengthen the already broad range of surface mount chip resistors being offered by Bourns.

The CHP-A series sulfur-resistant, AEC-Q200 compliant thick film resistor offers triple rated power in comparison to general purpose resistors. Available in four different footprints from 0603 (1608 metric) up to 2512 (6431 metric), the CHP-A series boasts a wide resistance range from 10ohms to 1megohm, and high rated power making it ideal for current sensing and superior pulse load applications.

They are suitable for use within consumer electronics, industrial automation, power supplies, LED lighting applications and communication base stations.

These resistors are made using a thick film element printed onto a ceramic substrate and have ultra-high rating power up to 3W at +70°C (2512 size). This product is tested in accordance with ASTM B809-95 standards and is designed to operate in certain harsh environments exposed to sulfur contamination.
