The Bourns ECW series are 22mm digital contacting encoders. It produces a 2-bit quadrature signal, channel A leads channel B by 90 degree electrically turning clockwise. Rotary encoders are ideal for use as digital panel controls or position sensing devices in a wide range of applications where digital circuitry is used. ECW series encoders are available with detents. Typical applications include temperature control, speed control, position sensing, menu selection and volume control.
