Models CRE2512/CRA2512/CRF2512/CRM2512 are designed to detect and convert current to an easily measured voltage, proportional to the current through the device. These series meet many requirements of a high-powered current sense resistor. Offering low resistance to help minimise power consumption, the Models come with a ± 1 % resistance tolerance. The standard Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (TCR) for the CRE2512/CRA2512/CRF2512 is just ±50 PPM/°C, while the TCR for the CRM2512 is ±100/200 PPM/°C. This ensures stable operating accuracy over wide temperature ranges. The models also use a specialised sensing material to ensure a low thermal Electromotive Force (EMF). Current sense resistors are growing in popularity due to their high measurement accuracy and relatively low cost compared to other technologies.
