Secondary DC circuit protection
Protection of end-application equipment on the load side of switched mode power supplies is clearly an important issue. Bourns supplies a range of options with protection devices and solutions for the VDC secondary DC circuit. These include: TVS diodes that deliver very high surge current protection; Multifuse® resettable fuses, which deliver overcurrent surge protection of equipment designed to operate at high operating temperatures; Bourns® TISP™ thyristor surge protectors, ideal for use in telecommunications applications for high-voltage protection; SinglFuse™ devices, which are thin-film chip fuses that deliver a single blow fuse for overcurrent protection; and TBU® high-speed protectors (HSPs), which provide highly effective wide-bandwidth circuit protection.
