Lighting Up Smarter Buildings Using PoE with Microchip
Intelligent lighting is no longer just about networked-based LED lighting. Building on the network, LED lighting can be integrated with sensors to measure temperature and ambient light in a room. This feedback can then be used to control both lighting and automated shades.
Motion detectors can be used to shut of lighting in rooms that are not in use and can also be connected to access control to turn off when people exit the building.
This session will demonstrate how Power over Ethernet enables all of these systems to work together in Smarter Buildings while providing faster deployment and lowering operating expenses.

AI-enabled applications are increasingly being deployed at the edge. Xilinx Kria System-on-Modules (SOMs) provide a secure and production-ready multi-core Arm processing and FPGA platform including memories, power management, and your choice of a Yocto or Ubuntu Linux infrastructure to build accelerated AI-enabled applications at the edge. Smart City applications such as license plate detection, retail analytics, and others require a large amount of processing to be performed with low latency, low power consumption and in a small footprint, which Kria SOMs facilitate. Furthermore, Kria SOMs feature a radical new way to design with Xilinx: Accelerated Applications via the Xilinx App Store.
