Nordic Semiconductor nRF54L hands-on workshop
20 May 2026 - 21 May 2026
Multiple locations
Avnet Silica and Nordic Semiconductor are pleased to invite you to this technical seminar dedicated to the next generation of nRF54L wireless microcontrollers.
The nRF54L family represents the fourth generation of Nordic wireless platforms and introduces significant improvements in performance, power efficiency, and processing power. With 2.4 GHz multiprotocol support, these devices are ideal for advanced IoT applications requiring Bluetooth LE, Matter, Aliro, Thread, Zigbee, and proprietary protocol connectivity.
During this hands-on workshop, participants will have the opportunity to explore the Nordic development ecosystem based on the nRF Connect SDK, the open-source software framework that integrates the Zephyr RTOS, libraries, protocol stacks, and development tools for creating low-power wireless applications.
The goal of the workshop is to provide developers with a concrete understanding of Nordic technologies and guide them in developing their first Bluetooth Low Energy application using the nRF54L DK development kit.
During the day will be presented the main features of the new platform, the advantages over the previous generation and best practices for quickly starting a new nRF54L-based project.
What you'll learn during the workshop:
- Develop and program a first BLE application
- Gain hands-on experience with the nRF Connect SDK
- Understand the Zephyr RTOS-based software architecture
- Interact with Nordic and Avnet Silica experts to discuss your applications
- At the end of the workshop, participants will receive an nRF54L Development Kit to continue developing their projects.
Hardware Requirements:
- Windows or Linux PC with administrator rights
- At least 8 GB RAM (16 GB recommended)
- Free disk space to install the toolchain
- Microsoft Visual Studio Code and the nRF Connect SDK with a working toolchain are required. Instructions for preparing the development environment will be provided after registration.
