Topics

STMicroelectronics’ MEMS - Sense vehicle motion, road condition and driver presence for smart mobility & comfort features

MEMS motion sensors have been used in several automotive applications such as car alarm or navigation for years. Such applications evolve, requiring higher performance and enhanced robustness.

During this session, STMicroelectronics will present their new products with increased accuracy and a reduced footprint: the new 6-axis Interal Measrurement Unit ASM330LHH that supports navigation systems with precise positioning requirements in ADAS architctures; and the 3-axis accelerometer AIS2IH with low noise specification that makes it a perfect choice for car alarm systems.

Additionally, we will look at STMicroelectornics’ automotive MSMS Sensors designed for applications including KeyFobs for car access systems, door control units, seat modules, light levelling and additional functionalities and features.

Renesas IPS2550 - your next choice as position sensor in Motor Commutation

IPS2550 - A new era in Motor Commutation

During this training, you will learn about the IPS2550, the newest Automotive Qualified Inductive Position Sensor for Motor Commutation. After a brief introduction to the IPS2 product family, the presenter will guide you into a deep dive of the IPS2550 and its major features.

Next, you will learn what a sensor design consists of, how this technology allows differentiating, what its benefits are, and how it paves new roads in high-speed commutation. Additionally, we will offer an overview of Renesas’ design tools and show you how easy it is to design a customized sensor solution capable to fulfil your technical requirements supporting a very short time to market.

Renesas provides a holistic system of a full turnkey design for system application in motor commutation.

How To Improve Motor Control Sensor Designs with Inductive Position Technology

Offering significant advantages over existing Hall Effect and other magnetic sensors, Microchip’s ICs measure linear and angular/rotation movements found in a variety of automotive, industrial and appliance applications.

In this webinar, Microchip will introduce you to their unique magnetic field sensors that give accurate position measurements without requiring an external magnetic device. Additionally, you will learn about Microchip’s downloadable sensor designs and tools that allow you to take your designs from idea to production quickly.

Benefit and examples of digital signal conditioning for pressure and temperature sensing in automotive applications with Renesas

The presentation gives an overview about the principles of sensor signal conditioning. A major benefit is in terms of easy calibration strategies. We will give specific application examples to demonstrate the complete offering for automotive applications including the needs for different interfaces, functional safety requirements and robust solutions for harsh environments above 150°C junction temperature.

NXP’s greatest sensor solution for transportation market

In this session, NXP will introduce you to their new pressure sensor monitoring for battery system and thermal runaway prevention.

You will learn about their Automotive accelerometer for convenience applications such as Car alarm, Telematic boxes, Electrical vehicles, and Keyfob.

Additionally, we’ll present tire pressure monitoring solutions with BLE evolution for Motorcycle, Bicycle, Truck, Buses and Passenger cars.

Discover the latest trends and technologies to make your next touch user interface more intuitive, comfortable and safe with Microchip

You can find plenty of 1D touch solutions used for the touch buttons in the radio interface, steering wheel and door and roof modules. The number of 2D touch applications also has grown rapidly over the last five years with the addition of capacitive touchpads and touch screens to automotive and transportation designs. New technologies like proximity detection and air gestures are being incorporated into Human/Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to reduce driver distraction and simplify the interaction between the driver and the vehicle.

In this session, Microchip will introduce you to their capacitive touch system for automotive design. With their comprehensive portfolio of touchscreen controllers and an incredibly easy to design with ecosystem, they can deliver these advanced features while meeting the challenging design requirements of automotive and transportation applications.
