Nordic Semiconductor & u-blox nRF54L hands-on workshop
02 Jun 2026 - 02 Jun 2026
Germany, Berlin
Avnet Silica, Nordic Semiconductor, and u-blox are pleased to invite you to this technical seminar dedicated to the new Nordic nRF54L series.
The nRF54L family represents the fourth generation of Nordic’s wireless platforms and offers significant improvements in performance, energy efficiency, and processing power. Thanks to support for multiple protocols in the 2.4 GHz band, these devices are ideal for demanding IoT applications that require connectivity via Bluetooth LE, Matter, Aliro, Thread, Zigbee, and proprietary protocols.
During this hands-on workshop, participants will have the opportunity to explore Nordic’s development ecosystem based on the nRF Connect SDK—an open-source software framework that integrates the Zephyr RTOS, libraries, protocol stacks, and development tools for creating low-power wireless applications.
The goal of the workshop is to provide developers with a concrete understanding of Nordic and u-blox technologies and to support them in developing their first Bluetooth Low Energy application using the nRF54L15 based on u-blox’s NORA-B2 module.
Throughout the day, the key features of the new platform will be presented, the advantages over the previous generation will be explained, and best practices for quickly getting started on a new nRF54L-based project will be shared. Nordic will also provide an update on the roadmap for its product portfolio and cloud services.
u-blox, a manufacturer and expert in wireless modules, offers certified modules with integrated or external antennas, which simplifies RF design. Are you planning to integrate Nordic SoCs when selecting such a module? Then this is the ideal time to find the right solution during the product presentation. With these modules, it’s easy to start and complete a design immediately => Time-to-Market.
What you'll learn during the workshop:
- Develop and program your first BLE application
- Gain hands-on experience with the nRF Connect SDK
- Understand the software architecture based on the Zephyr RTOS
- Exchange ideas with experts from Nordic, u-blox, and Avnet Silica to discuss your applications
- At the end of the workshop, participants will receive an nRF54L15 development kit and the NORA-B2 evaluation kit to continue developing their projects
Hardware Requirements:
- Windows or Linux PC with administrator rights
- At least 8 GB RAM (16 GB recommended)
- Free disk space to install the toolchain
- Microsoft Visual Studio Code and the nRF Connect SDK with a working toolchain are required. Instructions for preparing the development environment will be provided after registration.
