Overview:

The webinar will introduce the new Elite Power Simulator and the Self-Service PLECS Model Generator (SSPMG). After a brief introduction to simulation and PLECS, it will explain why it is important to rely on you own PLECS Model tuned for your applications and not on web-available models. It will also describe the importance of switching parasitics on losses. The second part of the session will be a live demonstration of both tools. It will point out the various tool functions included and highlight the user interface unique features. A Q&A session will conclude the webinar.

Didier Balocco earned an engineering degree from "École Nationale Supérieure d’Électronique et de RadioÉlectricité de Bordeaux" in France in 1992 and a Ph.D. degree in Power Electronics (PFC) from Bordeaux University in 1997. He was a research engineer for DC-DC, AC-DC and DC-AC converters for telecom equipment and solar from 1 W to 150 kW from 1996 to 2014. Blocco served as a Field Application Engineer (FAE) supporting South of France, Spain and Portugal for Fairchild Semiconductor from 2014 to 2016 and until 2018 with onsemi.
