Vishay XFD11K33CA - XClampR® Flat Clamping Bidirectional TVS
XClampR® 11 kW bidirectional TVS with ultra-low clamping ratio near 1.0, delivering high power density and robust transient protection
The XClampR® XFD11KxxCA series is a new family of bidirectional transient voltage suppressors (TVS) designed to protect sensitive electronics from high-energy voltage transients caused by inductive load switching, lightning strikes, and other surge events. Featuring Vishay’s flat-clamping technology, these devices deliver an industry-leading low clamping ratio (VC/VBR) close to 1.0, enabling superior protection while maintaining high power density.
Housed in a compact surface-mount DO-218AC package, the series provides peak pulse power dissipation of up to 11 kW and supports stand-off voltages from 33 V to 85 V. The devices offer low leakage current, stable electrical performance over a wide temperature range from -55 °C to +175 °C, and are available in both commercial-grade and AEC-Q101 qualified versions for demanding automotive applications.
The XFD11KxxCA family is ideal for automotive powertrain and body electronics, including ADAS, battery management systems, DC/DC converters, traction inverters, and on-board chargers. It is also well suited for industrial automation, energy storage systems, telecom power supplies, server power applications, and AI server hot-swap protection, where reliable surge suppression and maximum system robustness are essential.
