Vishay Intertechnology expands its Gen 7 platform of 1200 V FRED Pt® hyperfast rectifiers with six new devices in the eSMP® series SMPC HV package. Designed for industrial, automotive, and energy applications, the 1 A, 2 A, and 3 A rectifiers deliver an excellent balance between reverse recovery charge (Qrr) and forward voltage drop, while also offering very low junction capacitance and fast recovery times.
By combining fast recovery, low Qrr, low forward voltage drop, and low capacitance, the devices help reduce switching losses, lower power dissipation, and improve overall system efficiency. Their compact SMPC HV package features a large creepage distance and a high CTI molding compound (≥ 600), enabling compliance with IEC 60664-1 while reducing component count and BOM costs.
Built on a planar structure with platinum-doped lifetime control, these rectifiers ensure robust performance and high reliability. Optimized stored charge and low recovery current further enhance efficiency, making them ideal for high-frequency, high-voltage applications.
