Vishay VEMD4210FX02
AEC-Q102 ambient light sensors measure visible light without IR bump with human-eye spectral match and improved angular performance in 0805 and QFN packages
Vishay Intertechnology expands its optoelectronics portfolio with two Automotive Grade PIN photodiode ambient light sensors, the VEMD4210FX02 and VEMD5525FX02, designed for enhanced optical accuracy and long-term reliability in harsh environments. Both devices are AEC‑Q102 qualified and deliver spectral sensitivity closely matched to the human eye, with a peak wavelength of 530 nm and no IR bump. This enables precise visible light measurement by eliminating unwanted infrared interference.
The sensors offer excellent angular performance, maintaining stable spectral accuracy regardless of the angle of incoming light. This ensures consistent and reliable measurement results across a wide range of operating conditions. Their robust design makes them well suited for automotive and other demanding applications requiring dependable light sensing.
Optimized for space-constrained designs, the VEMD4210FX02 features a compact 0805 package with a radiant sensitive area of just 0.42 mm². It provides a typical reverse light current of 0.014 μA and a sensitivity range from 470 nm to 610 nm, supporting efficient and accurate system integration.
