Vishay TSOP15300

The TSOP15300 series is a new family of infrared (IR) receiver modules designed for universal remote control applications. Supporting a wide modulation frequency range from 30 kHz to 68 kHz, these devices can receive and demodulate all major IR remote control codes, enabling a single-component solution for a broad range of consumer electronics products.

By eliminating the need for multiple receivers tuned to different carrier frequencies, the TSOP15300 helps reduce component count, save board space, and simplify product designs. The modules integrate a photodetector, preamplifier, and IR filter into a compact package, while the demodulated output can be connected directly to a microcontroller for easy decoding.

The TSOP15300 series also provides excellent immunity to interference from common sources such as CFL lamps, LCD televisions, and onboard Wi-Fi antennas. Operating from 2.0 V to 5.5 V with a typical supply current of 0.35 mA, the devices offer reliable transmission distances of up to 18 m when paired with a 50 mA IR emitter, making them ideal for TVs, audio systems, gaming consoles, set-top boxes, soundbars, and projectors.
