Kontron KCell 5G R17 cellular-to-Ethernet Gateway
Compact 5G R17 cellular-to-Ethernet gateway with 4.95 Gbps downlink, dual 2.5 GbE, KontronOS security, and -40 to +85C operation
The Kontron KCell 5G Industrial Gateway is a ruggedised cellular-to-Ethernet bridge built for mission-critical industrial and mobile deployments. Supporting SA and NSA 5G NR operation with worldwide frequency band coverage, the gateway achieves data rates up to 4.95 Gbps downlink and 550 Mbps uplink via 3GPP Release 17.
Dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces enable full utilisation of the air interface speed or provide redundant uplinks and LAN/WAN separation. The OpenWrt-based networking stack supports policy-based routing, firewalling, traffic shaping, and VPN integration including WireGuard, IPsec, and OpenVPN.
Housed in a compact 100x44x100 mm metal casing with passive cooling, the KCell operates from -40 to +85C and mounts via DIN rail or flat surface. KontronOS delivers Secure Boot, SELinux, A/B partitioning for OTA updates, and RED CyberSecurity compliance.
