    The Challenge

    The customer needed a display to fit into the existing mechanics. Apart from that, the most important requirements were sunlight readability, shock & vibration resistance, UV resistance and very low power consumption.

    The Result

    The solution fitted into the existing mechanics and the package of fulfilled requirements, good support and good pricing is the perfect fit for the dashboard.

    We realised all requirements for mechanics, power consumption, vibration and readability. Additionally, we made long-cycle UV tests and then hit the target.

    The Challenge

    The customer had EMI issues with their current series and wanted to improve the display. They needed a robust outdoor-readable display with a wide temperature range within a price target.

    The Result

    ­Due to the fast sample shipment the customer could switch their current series very fast. They are now rid of their EMI issues and have a better price than before.

    Due to the short development time, we customised the display very fast. We changed the default direction, added EMC measures and customised the FPC.

    The Challenge

    The customer offers retrofittable reversing camera systems for different kinds of vehicles. The requirement catalogue for optical performance was big and additionally they needed a wide temperature range and a defined FPC as well as good scratch resistance.

    The customer uses the display in different reversing camera systems as it fullfills the demand of construction, agriculture and trucks. Ruggedness and visibility are really good.

    We could overcome the specific requirements for viewing angles and contrast in defined lighting conditions as well as the customizations of pol filter and FPC.

    The Challenge

    The customer developed a solar operated car and needed an infotainment display that fitted into their electrics and mechanics with following requirements:

    • Automotive requirement for temperature and readability
    • Dual source needed from tier 1 cell vendor
    • FDP III link interface needed
    • PPAP option
    • Assembly not in China

    The Result

    The customer is independant from EOL or glass cells and can switch these. They have an easy-to-integrate solution for the special connections required for solar operation.The PPAP option is available, whenever needed.

    The Solution

    We selected 2 different cells from 2 display manufacturers and managed the assembly in Taiwan. Our mechanical and electrical customisation as well as a new designed FDP LinkIII converter board led to a perfect fitting solution for the integration. A perfect readability was achieved by optical bonding and customised cover-glass design.

    EV CHARGING FOR LARGE RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS

    The Challenge

    The customer needed to update their product design for the next version of their range of different size chargers for residential buildings and offices. The display on the first version did not perform well enough, with a range of performance and longevity problems caused by flaws in the design.

    The Result

    The new display solved all of the previous version challenges, without any increase in material costs, creating a more competitive and attractive new version. The display could also be used in different sizes of the product range, for minimal complexity.

    The Solution

    We looked at the customer’s product range and the problems caused by the old display. We selected a new display driver and re-designed the whole display stack, with different materials and a different mechanical layout. We also built RFID sensors into the display for compact functionality.

    The Challenge

    The customer specialises in high-end residential chargers for multi-car households and large garages. The customer needed a large, bright, high-quality display and an extended touch area for virtual control buttons. The customer had suffered delays finding the correct display in-house and needed a rapid solution to meet production deadlines.

    The Result

    The customer was able to meet production deadlines with a new style of charging solution not seen in the high-end market so far, and inspired by our engineers to produce an even better version in the next iteration.

    We designed a large, high-resolution, high-contrast display solution to match the customer’s brand and design style, with a ceramic printed cover lens for a high-quality finish.

    The Challenge

    The customer was designing a wall-mounted EV charging box for public car parks. The display needed to be small but readable from a wide angle and resistant to a wide range of temperatures.

    The Result

    The customer saved money on their own display design, and also solved several challenges they were facing about weatherproofing and long-life performance.

    The Solution

    We visited the customer to investigate the mechanical design of the product and the specific frame mounting requirements for the display module. We designed a specific 7" display with an ambient light sensor and custom cover lens to ensure readability from all angles in all environments.

    The customer required a rugged outdoor fast-charging application. They needed to reach mass production in a short time, having been let down by a previous supplier. Their EV Charger would be in unmonitored open car park spaces, so needed to be vandal-resistant and weather-resistant.

    The Result

    As a result, customer could take a reliable product to market faster than the competition, with superior display appearance combined with secure design.

    The Solution

    We adopted standard materials and processes to match the customer’s unique design. Optically enriched design to enable daylight readability and durability without needing a high power backlight, enabling the customer to adopt a power-efficient and thermally efficient solution for their system.

    The customer wanted to have a bigger display on their current portable device. Interface, pinning & mechanics had to be the same.

    The new series has an improved viewing area now and a more modern look. Thanks to the high contrast and optical bonding, the tester can be read in all ambient light conditions.

    The customer asked for a sunlight and night-readable display with better optical performance than the running one. They needed low power consumption and ruggedness for his handheld, battery-powered underwater device.

    The Result

    The customer developed a very unique device that is working in all temperatures, under and above the water, needs just low power and is readable in all ambient light conditions.

    The Solution

    We suggested a transflective TFT with an optical bonded PMMA cover lens to overcome IK08 & mechanical requirements. Our fast sample, the technical solution and the reasonable price convinced.
