Adaptable AV: A Xilinx Update on Pro AV, Broadcast & Consumer

The Broadcast and Pro AV industry tapped into their creative genius to innovate and create new products and workflows to deal with the ongoing pandemic. We saw major advances and product announcements in new cameras, desktop routers and switchers, signage and LED walls, streaming end-point, Pro Audio, KVM collaboration, and more. Machine learning technology is being used to automate sports production.  The push towards remote production has shown that live news and sports can be delivered with a much smaller onsite crew.  Both Broadcast and Pro AV were already moving transport to IP based networks - the pandemic became the inflexion point that accelerated this deployment.  The ability to deliver AV from one end of the network to the other has demonstrated the ingenuity and creativity of both sectors, a lot of which was designed using technology from Xilinx.

In parallel, the Consumer market saw a big demand in home entertainment and smart-home technologies as consumers chose to divert their spend in out-of-home-entertainment to in-home.
