Renesas Security Workshop
24 Oct 2023 - 27 Oct 2023
Germany, multiple locations

Security touches every product segment, from industrial controls to white goods to medical devices etc. All these markets meet one or more of the checks for whether security is an important consideration for the product. The first step towards designing a secure product is to commit to designing in security from the beginning. When designing a product, it is vital to find the right balance between the threats the product will face and the security solutions to protect against those threats.
The RA Family offers all the tools needed to build a strong security solution for all IoT applications. Starting at the lowest layer, the MCU itself offers secure element functionality, embedded inside the MCU, with SP800-22 compliant TRG, RSA and ECC PKI, and unlimited secure key storage with secure key installation. RA Family software is integrated with these MCU hardware features, with the Flexible Software Package providing integrated hardware support for cryptography and secure internet communication. Complete solutions built on top of the FSP allow you to jump-start product development, with off-the-shelf solutions for device identity, secure key installation, and secure firmware updates.
This training session is designed to help our new customers get an introduction to Renesas Secure Crypto Engine 9 followed by secure key management techniques on RA MCUs and to our existing customers who would like to see the new features which got added recently. The focus of the training session will be on the fundamental features of Secure Crypto Engine, understanding Root of Trust, Secure Key Installation advantages and wrapped key installation use cases.
