Nordic Semiconductor Newcomer’s Zephyr RTOS Seminar
23 Jan 2026 - 23 Jan 2026
Germany, Leinfelden-Echterdingen

Nordic Semiconductor and Avnet Silica warmly invite you to a free seminar offering a compact and hands-on introduction to the modern real-time operating system Zephyr.
Zephyr is a modern, platform-independent real-time operating system (RTOS) that has gained significant importance since its release in 2017 and is now one of the most active embedded OS projects. Thanks to its device-tree-based approach, software can be efficiently ported to different hardware platforms. Zephyr is particularly well suited for current Cortex-based microcontrollers and microprocessors and offers comprehensive middleware—including wireless stacks, USB, Ethernet, CAN, and security frameworks.
Using the latest technologies from Nordic Semiconductor, such as nRF54L15DK and nRF Connect SDK, we show how to set up projects cleanly, choose suitable tools, and support different hardware platforms efficiently.
The seminar is designed for developers who want to gain a clear technical overview of contemporary embedded development approaches , without needing prior experience with Zephyr RTOS.
In two hands-on sessions, participants will apply the concepts directly and gain practical experience that simplifies entry into modern Zephyr RTOS based embedded development.
