Renesas - Industrial solution platform

May 2nd - 10:30 CEST

This presentation introduces the Renesas industrial solution platform based on the RZ/T and RZ/N MPU families. The platform is comprised of the RZ devices with multi-protocol industrial Ethernet, application processing support, a rich software library, and sample applications enabling fast development at low risk. It covers all applications on the factory floor for motor control, IO-Link gateways, and other real-time IO. Scalability allows reuse of customer’s application software on a wide product range. Pre-certified safety and communication software reduce risks and secure time to market. Ready to copy winning combos and proof of concept builds speed up prototyping and simplify hardware design.

STMicroelectronics - Newest I/O chips for control technologies & Safe automation

May 2nd - 11:20 CEST

The webinar focuses on the newest STMicroelectronics integrated circuits for Industrial Automation, specifically on digital outputs implementation using intelligent power switches.
Key applications within the scope are Programmable Logic Controllers and Decentralized I/Os including Safe systems.
The main challenges designers face in these applications are how to:

  • Reduce size,
  • Increase channel density and performance,
  • Ensure immunity.

ST addresses these challenges with new IPS chips packed in compact housings, with efficient power stages, smart features, and extraordinary immunity. Galvanic isolation is another IP embedded in the new product family being now introduced on the market. During the webinar, an example of safe digital I/O application architecture with different building blocks will be presented.

Microchip - Deterministic Networking Solutions

May 3rd - 09:35 CEST

1. Time Sensitive Networking
TSN was developed to enable deterministic communication on standard Ethernet. The market for deterministic communication is currently using nonstandard technologies or nonstandard Ethernet. Prior to the IEEE 802.1 TSN standards, standard Ethernet didn’t have pure Layer 2 deterministic capabilities. Short Introduction of Time Sensitive Networking as well as hardware and software tools that Microchip provide.
2. EtherCAT
EtherCAT® is an industrial Ethernet based networking system providing determinism with network timing jitter below 1us, robustness, scalability and low cost of ownership. It is applicable to many other applications outside industrial automation that require these benefits. Short Introduction of EtherCAT® as a technology as well as hardware and software tools that Microchip provide.

NXP- Enabling Factory Automation

May 3rd - 10:25 CEST

This session will be about how NXP technologies enable Industrial automation in smart factories with our latest and greatest innovative products. From I/O modules and PLCs, to Motor Control and Industrial Networking - this session will give you an overview of what are the latest Industrial trends and customer requirements and how NXP portfolio makes this happen. We will also have a look at how NXP's enablement and support for these products helps customers to shorten their design in time. Lastly, we will also be giving you a feel of the future with our progressive roadmap of Industrial products.

Micron - Data Drives Digital Transformation in Manufacturing

May 3rd - 11:15 CEST

Digital Transformation in factories is the synergy of the OT (operational technology) and IT (information technology) represented by multiple technologies from IoT, real-time compute and edge connectivity, and robotics (to name a few). Factories will leverage data generated from sensors, machines, processes and people to develop new models (real and simulated) to drive the factory of tomorrow. Memory and storage solutions will play a critical role to support these new workloads and store data insights as part of the digitalization of manufacturing.

Nexperia - MOSFETs in Motor Control applications

May 3rd - 14:40 CEST

Nexperia low voltage MOSFETs used in brushless Motor drive applications, design considerations taking into account normal operating and expected fault conditions focusing on Nexperia Application specific MOSFETs (ASFETs) used in Motor applications such as Battery Protection MOSFETs for Li powered products, 36v Battery powered products and high power applications requiring MOSFETs used in parallel.

onsemi - Solutions for Autonomous Mobile Robots

May 3rd - 15:30 CEST

Thanks to the enormous progress made in the field of artificial vision and the availability of increasingly advanced sensors and control algorithms, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) can independently carry out very complex tasks, such as moving, grasping and positioning objects, yet it is easier to use and instruct them than ever before. As these robots become more sophisticated and capable of interacting and working together with humans, there is an increase in the number of involved technologies. onsemi has solutions for these robots for motion, machine vision, power, charging , sensing and connectivity. onsemi created an AMR using development and evaluation platforms. We will go over this AMR solution and focus-in on 10BASE-T1S and Positioning Sensors in AMRs.

What you will learn:

  • Yocto release cycles, LTS versus mainline and other releases
  • Yocto maintenance in action with practical use cases
  • The obstacles you can hit while upgrading
  • CVE checking tools to rate how secure your OS is
  • How Witekio can support your team in the process

Who should attend?

  • Anyone who wants to know more about the benefits of maintaining their Yocto distribution, what that means for product features, and up their Yocto knowledge.

Microsoft- Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC on NXP i.MX ARM MPUs

May 4th- 11:15 CEST

The new Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC for ARM running on an industrial i.MX 8M Plus MPU from NXP is a real game changer.
In the past, there were several attempts by Microsoft to support industrial low power ARM MPUs for Windows, but the success
was not that great due to the incompatibility of the applications with the big PC world.
This new solution will unlock the entire PC ecosystem for ARM MPUs. API32 PC applications will run on this version of Windows without any
adaptation and combined with the 10-year support in the LTSC channel, the TCO for industrial customers is outstanding.
See a live demo of the solution on an industrial SMARC board from Avent Embedded based on the NXP i.MX8 M Plus.
